Unusual iron cycling and clay mineralogy in Cambrian shales

Iron speciation analysis produced strange results for the green shales of the Cambrian Harkless Formation. I seek to understand how iron-rich clays affect the iron speciation paleoredox proxy.

Facies analysis of the Cambrian SPICE event in Appalachia

I seek to understand how paleoenvironmental changes may or may not have distorted the expression of the SPICE event across Appalachia.

Nitrogen in Pleistocene corals

An investigation into glacial-interglacial nitrogen cycling dynamics as preserved in fossil corals.

Phosphorus cycling during the End-Triassic extinction

A study of phosphorus cycling in the Panthallassic ocean during the End-Triassic mass extinction.

Oxygen in the late Cambrian

A study of shallow water oxygen during the late Cambrian SPICE event using the I/Ca redox proxy.
